Dukelease & Henderson Park acquire £120M investment in The City
June 2019
Dukelease and Henderson Park have acquired a 191,144 sq. ft freehold building, Ibex House, EC3, located in the heart of London’s tech belt close to Aldgate and Whitechapel.
The iconic nine-storey grade II listed building has been purchased from Israeli pension fund Harel Insurance & Financial for £121,250,000, and features a mix of retail, restaurant, office and gym accommodation arranged over basement, ground and eight upper floors. Henderson Park and Dukelease Properties will be altering and refurbishing Ibex House over time, optimising it as a prime commercial space in the capital.
At present, the building is let to multiple tenants, including Breast Cancer Now, Capita and BBC Media Action.
The purchase represents the latest addition to Dukelease’s real estate portfolio, which includes key projects such as 87-125 Cleveland Street and York House, Wembley.
Richard Leslie, CEO, Dukelease Properties said:
“We are pleased to be moving forward with this exciting development alongside Henderson Park. Ibex House is a great investment opportunity in this zone one area, and we’re looking forward to making improvements to the building that will increase its commercial offering in this prime location.
“Dukelease is committed to securing similar investment opportunities in the market to strengthen our growing commercial portfolio”
